My daughter loves stuffed animals so my husband and I decided to take her to Build a Bear. Our daughter is only 11 months old, so we wanted to go when the store was not too busy. We went one afternoon and ended up being the only people in the store. The store was well organizes, had great lighting, and had some music playing. The staff was very patient with her and let her feel every stuffed animal choice to see which one sparked a reaction. She seemed to like the pony so we agreed to do that one. The staff allowed us to record our own messages for the stuffed pony to make it extra special. After the pony was stuffed, we walked around the store looking for clothes to put on the pony. By this time other families entered the store. My husband and I both expected the staff to leave us alone to help others, but at least one staff member stayed with us at all times. She showed my daughter different clothes options and let her feel everything. After deciding on an outfit, we dressed the pony and left. The experience is very memorable. My daughter had a great time and she takes the pony everywhere.

I have always loved Build A Bear. It is so much fun and it will always hold a special place in my heart, because it was a place my husband and I visited on our first date 11 years ago. We went to a typical tourist town and was walking down the street when we saw Build A Bear for the first time ever. I had to go in because I can not resist stuffed animals. I really love that you get to choose what animals you would love to adopt. I believe they change out the animals every so often as well. I chose this very cute yellow rabbit. I was even more excited when we got to stuff the rabbit because I got to choose the right fluffiness. What made it the most special rabbit for me was when they handed my husband (then boyfriend) a heart and made him do a silly dance and told him to make a wish before he put it in the rabbit. He will not tell me what that wish was even now. After that we went to the process of naming her and giving her a bath. It is great that you can choose to dress the animals or not. At the time I choose not to dress her, but I have dressed others. When you get to the counter to pay you are given a birth certificate and a box for them to go home it. All together it helped make for the most memorable first date ever. And I can not wait until we have kids so we can do this with them.
