I recently moved into a house a couple months ago and there was so much to be done. In my closet I wanted to make a shelving unit to be able to fit all my clothes inside (water heater takes up a lot of room). I went to lowe's with the idea of purchasing a ready made organizational unit, unfortunately with all the expenses I had to dish out moving in, I couldn'a afford the one I wanted which was 600$ (or any for that matter). A sales associate came to see if I needed any help and I told him about my financial situation and what I wanted to do with my closet. He had an amazing idea which I would probably not have thought on my own which was to make shelves out of the white wire shelves they sold for MUCH less! He explained to me everything that I needed to buy and even cut them down to size so all I had to do when I got hom was install them with the bracket kit. All in all it cost me under 80$ to do and works just as well (I didn't have a huge closet to begin with). Every time I go to Lowe's I get such great advice and customer service that I go there even when I know products are cheaper at walmart... I'd rather have someone who knows what they are talking about and can give me advice for my projects!

I always seem to have a good experience when I go into Lowes. I was most recently looking at a refrigerator that we were looking at to replace our dying one. The customer service was very helpful, yet I didn’t feel pressured to pick something more than what I was looking for. I chose which one would work for me, and then I asked for delivery. It only took a couple days for the new one to be delivered, and they were very careful in bringing in the new one, and they even removed the old one and hauled it away. I will most definitely be giving them much more business in the future when I have the need.

A couple of years ago I decided to renovate my basement. It was entirely unfinished and with a lot of help from my family I was able to completely finish it all with materials, tools and the help of Lowes’ experts. I did shop around to other lumber yards and Lowes definitely had the best quality and lowest prices. I purchased everything from drywall, tile and bathroom fixtures all at the cheapest prices in town. I still get compliments from everyone who visits my house and I can say that I was able to do all of it cheaper with the help of Lowes.

We are absolutely in love with Lowe's! The other "big name" hardware store had closed in our local city, and we needed to buy another portable heater for our home. We reluctantly went to Lowe's, and at first could not even find the aisle where the heaters were. A wonderful elderly employee saw us and immediately asked if he could help. We told him what we were looking for, and he brought us over to the heating section, and even though was not his department, stayed with us and found out about what we needed, and told us the plus and minuses of each heater. He was very knowledgeable, and we ended up choosing a heater different from the one we already had, which we had planned on buying. He was absolutely right in that this one was going to suit our needs better, and cost us less to run. It gives off much more heat than our original, is quieter, and less expensive to run. We were so impressed with the customer service and how friendly everyone was, we went there when we needed to replace our refrigerator a few months later. We got the same kind of treatment, and an employee that was able to answer every question. We will continue to use Lowe's as our main appliance and hardware store!

Lowe's is the place to go for me when I decide to work on our apartment. We recently had a great experience when we moved in to a new apartment. We moved in a few months ago and the apartment manager told us that we were allowed to paint any wall we wanted to just as long as we painted it back to white afterwards. We had a certain bright blue color in mind for an accent wall, but we were unsure if it would be too bright to paint back over. We went to a Home Depot first, because it was closer to our place. It was near closing time and we were unable to find anybody to help us or answer questions about which paints would be able to paint back over. We left, unsatisfied, and went to a Lowe's a few miles away. It was just minutes before they closed, but the person was in the paint section and answered our questions quickly and confidently. He mixed the paint for us and thanked us with a smile. It was a very positive end to the day and made us long time customers.

A couple weeks ago, I went to Lowe’s to purchase parts to build a custom made keyboard tray for my new desk. The manufactured keyboard trays I find are too small and I wanted something bigger that can handle a keyboard and big mouse pad so I decided to build one myself. I got the idea from a forum post on the internet but didn't have all the directions on how to build it. I went to Lowe’s hoping to find someone that knew what they were doing. Luckily, building a keyboard tray is just like building a sliding shelf. I asked one employee where the rails for the tray might be and she led me right to them. After I picked up the trays, I saw where I could find a shelf. I asked an employee in that department if they could help. The employee was very helpful and knew exactly what I wanted. He cut a custom sized shelf based on my measurements and told me how to put it together. The trays and shelf cost me about $25. I must have saved at least $40 plus I got a keyboard tray that I really wanted. Shopping at Lowe’s was great experience and I recommend it to anybody who has a DIY job to do.

I have shopped at Lowe's for many years, but lately I have noticed a troubling trend. Lowe's seems to be lacking in hiring knowledgeable employees to work in specific departments where customers may need answers as to how to complete home projects. For example, I have encountered employees in the plumbing department that could not explain to me the purpose of a drain trap, and why my drains should be vented. While the employees always try to be helpful, having people on the job who know about the products that they are selling is beneficial to both the customer and the company. While this does concern me, it will not stop me from shopping at Lowe's because they do have great prices, and they also offer a military discount.

Last October we purchased a Porter Cable tool kit with a drill, skill saw, and a rechargeable flashlight. The salesman was very helpful and maybe just a little to helpful. It was later in the evening and the store was not busy. We made our decision and the salesman even took it to the checkout for us the box was heavy and we hadn't grabbed a cart on the way in. Where our problem starts is, the sale of the extra warranty. The salesman more than the cashier told us about the benefits of getting the extra 2 year warranty. We were told that with the Lowe's warranty if we had any problem with our item we could return it at the store and not have to contact the manufacturer or do any shipping ourselves. Well The battery has quit twice now in that time and this will be the second time that we had to get a new battery for the flashlight. Lowe's however does not agree with what we were told about a quick in store exchange if we encounter a problem. The first incident we had to talk to several different managers in more than one trip before we heard, yes that is the way the warranty plan works. The second time we are also being told that we need to mail the item to the manufacturer ourselves. The main key point that made us want to purchase the warranty was to avoid that. So be aware that the extra warranty may not be as Convenient as they claim.

I was getting a fence put up and I went to Lowe's and Home Depot to price them out. The customer service was not even comparable. At Lowe's I got one on one service from someone who explained all the fences, prices, and helped me decide which fence to get. He then schedule a time for him personally to come out and look at the yard and go over everything. Home Depot gave me a number and said here call them. Lowe's already has lower prices then Home Depot and now to add the obvious customer service difference there is no question where I will be going for all future home and yard maintenance purchases.

Lowe's is great for anytime you want to do home repairs or upgrades. They have everything you could possible want or need in one place. I went there to get a new air conditioner and ended up leaving with that and more. The employees were very helpful. The first employee I asked for help didn't know the answer so she went and got anther employee who did. Also when the air conditioner we bought didn't fit in our window, yes I know now you are supposed to go in there with measurements, they were very helpful with us exchanging it for a smaller model that would fit. They even showed us which one would work better for the area we were cooling.

I was looking to get a portable air conditioner unit for my bonus room that was always a few degrees warmer than the rest of the house. I checked a few different stores in the area, but Lowes seemed to have the biggest selection and cheapest prices. I was looking at all the different units they had when an employee came by to see if I needed any help. He gave me the pros cons of each unit regarding the power consumption versus the cooling power. I ended up going with a 10000 BTU unit over the smaller BTU unit I had originally planned to purchase thanks to the employee there. The bigger unit has definitely worked out better as the bonus room was harder to cool than I had originally planned. I will definitely continue to shop at Lowes.

A few years back, I was redecorating the bedrooms in my home. I wasn't even sure what I was going for in any of the rooms other than knowing that the carpet had to go, the walls had to be painted, and doors had to be changed. Well, I walked into Lowe's just thinking that I will pick out paint, pick out doors, and pick out a carpet color and that will be it. Thank GOODNESS the employees there were patient, kind, and very very helpful! I can't say enough great things about them. They told me how picking paint isn't has easy as just saying "this is the color I want." They asked me questions about what kind of walls I had and told me about the different feels of carpet. Who knew that all doors aren't one size either? I don't even want to imagine the annoyance of that whole home improvement project with out them. I have been to other home improvement stores in the past and NONE of them went as far as Lowe's did with helping someone out who they could tell was pretty clueless to the whole process. Like I said, they took time to make sure you had what you needed for the project so it would be exactly what you wanted. Thanks to Lowe's not only does the bedrooms look great, I even went back a few times for other weekend projects and they've helped with everything. I have never ever had a problem with their store or their services. It is the best place for home improvement items and help that is really close to professional as you can get from a store! Love it!

Lowes is a store that I never really considered up until recently. I had always assumed it was a check knockoff of Home Depot. That all changed when I went there a few months ago for the first time. Lowes is so much cleaner and easier to navigate when compared to other hardware stores. That first time I went, I was looking for a special drill bit that no other store had. I had no idea where it would be so I asked an employee. He knew exactly what I was talking about, and brought me over to the right section. We then started chatting about the project I was working on, and he helped me find a few other materials I needed. It was leaps and bounds better than any experience I've had in other stores.

Last year we added onto our house a new laundry room. Most of the work was completed at that time, what was left was painting some cabinets and some touch up. When we opened the paint that we had used last year we found out that the paint was no good so it was over to Lowes to get some more. We took all of the information from the can and supplied it to the paint guy. When he looked at it he said that the information was not correct that it was mixing information from different brands. We said that was the only information that we had and he said h really never saw someone try and do this but when we mentioned who had don the painting he then realized what the situation was. He said that the combination couldn't be put into the computer but that he would try and manually use the information but he couldn't say for sure that it would work. We told him to go ahead, when we got the pain home and touched up some spots it was actually a perfect match, great help from a great store.

I went to Lowes to buy a new grill. The selection was not quite as great as I imagined it would be, but I still found a great grill that was exactly what I was looking for. The employees were very quick to ask if I needed help, gave me the space to browse on my own when I asked for it, and when the time came answered all the questions I had. The employee who helped me even told me about a sale that was coming up in the next week and helped me save a decent amount of money on the grill. I found exactly what I needed and was extremely satisfied with their customer service. I would definitely go back for my future needs.

I love going to Lowes because they are always so helpful. As soon as I walk into the store they ask me if I need any help today. The employees are also very knowledgeable. In other stores, the employees can only tell you where things are, not which product is the best. Lowes employees are put in a certain area and are very knowledgeable about the products. I recently went in to buy a new grill. The person in the grill section was very helpful in helping me pick one out. He was very patient and answered all my questions I had. We also added his expert opinion on what grill would be best for my needs. Overall, it was a very pleasant grill shopping experience.

I wanted to replace my old push mower, because it’s hard for me to start. I went to Lowe’s and was feeling overwhelmed, as they at least thirty different mowers. Thankfully an employee approached me and asked if I needed help. I explained that my mower was impossible for me to pull start, and the employee showed me a mower that starts with the push of a button. I wasn’t sure if I liked it, so he showed me several other models. He asked me questions to help narrow down my selection, and it the end I ended up with a mower I could actually start. I love the customer service at Lowe’s.

I remember purchasing my current lawnmower from Lowes. I wasn't really sure about the differences between the products. The employee explained to me the difference between push and self propelled lawnmowers. They also helped me understand the warranty that comes from the factory itself and Lowes guarantee. I would have a two year warranty on the lawnmower itself from the manufacturer where if any issues comes up I would contact the manufacturer for replacement. Lowes itself had a 3 month warranty included where if anything happens within that timeframe I can take it back for replacement. This was very helpful in making up my mind on the purchase. While I was at a checkout another employee informed me further on maintenance of the lawnmower. He informed me that I should change the oil after the first several uses as the engine is new and it will clean the metallics out. After the first oil change I can use the lawnmower with regular maintenance scheduled. Overall, shopping at Lowes is a great experience. Helpful employees with some pretty good deals from time to time. I ended up using a Lowes gift card that saved me 20 dollars on my purchase.

When my husband and I bought our home in 2007 there were a lot of friends and family that wanted to say congratulations with a housewarming present, however, how shall I say this, we have a unique style that would have resulted in a lot of returns on our part, so in lieu of gifts we requested Lowe’s gift cards. I’m far from a do-it-yourself type, but the home we moved into needed substantial cosmetic updates, so Lowe’s was the perfect request for us, not only because of our location (there is a Lowe’s less than five minutes from our house) but because of the very helpful customer service. It’s very easy to go over budget on a home improvement project, but having a set amount from all the gift cards we collected has helped my husband and I spend only our set amount of money for several projects – painting, remodeling a bathroom, and installing new kitchen cabinet fronts. Even though Lowe’s is a home improvement store and a man’s playground almost, I feel very comfortable going into Lowe’s solo. I simply tell an associate what I’m looking to do, they show me the materials I need in several price points to complete the process and I’m on my way. Gift cards are a snap to redeem, just swipe like a debit card and you’re on your way. Lowe’s itself is huge, but I’m always in an out in no time armed with the convenience of a gift card!

I really enjoy Lowe's as a store for multiple reasons. Based on my current location, it's convenient, as it's one of the few home improvement stores in my city, with everything else being 45 minutes to an hour away. Not only is it close, it also has everything I need to get my projects done. When I lost my garage door opener, they had the universal garage door opener I needed to replace the lost one. I was able to find everything I needed to make my home pass its safety inspection before the homes sale. I am also looking forward to using Lowe's when purchasing laminate tile for my new place, as the delivery options are convenient and the pricing is very competitive. They carry all the name brands and patterns that I am interested in comparing and I know that when I go into the store, the staff will be helpful and point me in the right direction instead of just trying to sell me the most expensive option. A gift card to this store would be useful in many ways, since I am planning on purchasing a new property that requires many improvements to make it clean, useable, and presentable. Having a gift card allows me to budget for the things I may need and prevents me from spending the money on something other than a home improvement project.
