When it comes to viewing games online, MLB has quite possibly the worst model of all major leagues. First, the MLB.tv technology is regularly spotty; I've had to update software and encountered subsequent serious difficulties getting games started. The blackout policy is absolutely terrible and, though it can be circumvented through legally questionable means, it should be fundamentally adjusted. I will say that managing and canceling an MLB.tv account is very easy; it operates on a monthly automatic renewal, so that if your favorite team is out of the running before June, you can stop paying fairly easily. Be warned: their postseason mlb.tv package is terrible; you get effectively nothing.
