My wife and I do our "big" shopping at our local Sam's Club every two weeks and as a whole we're satisfied with the store, mainly because of the money we save, especially on pet supplies, such as dog and cat food, dog biscuits and rawhide chews. However, we have several issues with the store lately... first off is a recent re-distribution of the items that we usually buy to different aisles. I understand that most stores do this from time to time but I refuse to believe it's for any reason other than to make you walk through aisles you usually wouldn't have any reason to walk down and buy items you usually wouldn't. Second, availability of items that we buy each week is getting rather sporadic. For example, the rawhide chews for our dogs seem to have very sporadic availability. We can buy several one week and then find them unavailable for whatever reason for several trips. Third, I'm getting rather irritated with the constant pressuring to sign up for their "e-value" extended membership. On a recent trip to Sams I was approached upon entering the store, approached again while shopping, and once again while checking out. I wish there was some way I could flag my membership so I could at least stop being harassed about this program while checking out. Even with these three annoyances, we save WAY too much money at Sam's Club for these things to cause us to go elsewhere, but only because there's no other warehouse store in my area. If Costco was to open locally, I might find reason to switch, but for now I'll continue to shop at Sam's.
